I'm sure you've figured this out, but I am Zen Betty! I started this Blog simply for myself, to help provide an outlet for creative self expression.
"I'm old enough to know better, but still too young to care!" I have lived my life as I see fit, making mistakes and learning from them, and occasionally doing things the "Right" way. My past is what shaped me into the woman I am today. I wouldn't change it for anything. All I hope to do is make the future ME a better human being, daughter, sister, friend, lover and more! *I'm not here to tell you to change your politics or what religion to believe in, merely to show you a few glimpses into the working mind of the classic Grrl Next Door.

I love to be in control. OCD, ADD, yes and yes! I am outgoing, open to new suggestions and keep an open mind. I love to try new things, and am a curious cat! I am a wild woman...
I am always late, but impeccably dressed. I love to read and write. I am what they call a "Positive Patty"! I cook gourmet meals when I can, a wide variety of ingredients intrigues me, although I never can seem to follow a recipe exactly to the letter! I can't draw with a pencil to save my life.
I am brave but not fearless, intelligent but a terrible studier and am in introverted social butterfly.

I love to work with my hands and am known to throw myself into my work! I'm a Marketing Director by trade, working with different medias via computer. I'm branching out to more creative hands on projects, like the Geek Chic jewelry line I am developing using recycled computer parts and my retro styled aprons. I love the look of Vintage and am using my keen fashion eye to put together cooking/crafting aprons with a retro look for the modern grrl/guy! I love fashion & accessories of all types and styles, the more unique the better! No cookie-cutter style here.
My personal style is heavily influenced by Asian culture & design, but when I want to cater to a wider audience I stray outside of that style a lot.
I have modeled since I was a little Grrl, though I am a little too short for Runway... I love being able to change people's perceptions with a simple change of outfit/accessory. I am a huge fan of Ink and I really like to see the contrast between tattoos and innocence. Fashion is my passion and really the only area in which I consider myself a "Girly" Grrl.
*Other than wearing 4" heels, I'm pretty much a TomBoy or the Grrl Next Door!
I am a total Nerd. I'm ok with that, it suits me!
